Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 recently crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, and now the director Abhishek Pathak has confirmed the third installment of the project. As the rumors of Drishyam 3 releasing on the same date as the original Malayalam version has been going on the internet, many were curious about the 3rd installment of the franchise.
However, Malayalam Drishyam 2 director Jeethu Joseph has revealed that such rumors are not true. The director has revealed that he hasn’t even started working on the script of the movie. Abhishek Pathak the director of the Ajay Devgn starrer also said the same while confirming the 3rd installment of the movie.
“People are excited, so they are going to make theories on parts 3 and 4. But we’re just about to close our first week now. For sure there’s a demand for part 3, and it shall happen, but we are just happy to be crossing the Rs 100 crores number at the moment. Once we have some time off, we will think about what we’re going to do in the next part but as of now we’re just enjoying every bit of feedback that we’re getting,” he said.
In another interview, he said he will be directing the 3rd installment as well by saying, “Of course, I will direct Drishyam 3. I’d love to direct all future installments, but let [the third part] get written.”
