Ajith Kumar Thunivu pre-release business mints over RS 250 crore!

Ajith Kumar who has wrapped up the schedule for Thunivu is now waiting for the release of the movie in Pongal 2023. The movie is clashing with Thalapathy Vijay starrer Varisu and it was previously reported that both Thunivu and Varisu will be getting the same number of screens in Pongal. The number of screens will change depending on which movie is more popular but so far the clash has not affected the pre-release business of Thunivu in the least.

According to reports, the movie’s pre-release business has minted over Rs285 crore which is an astronomical number that the companies have bet on the stardom of Ajith. Ajith who has said he does not believe in promoting movies has proven once again a good movie does not need a promotion with the pre-release number. Also, to make this day even more special, the first single of Thunivu, Chilla Chilla is releasing today at 6 PM. This single is sung by Anirudh, penned by Vaisagh, and composed by Ghibran.

Coming back to the movie, Thunivu is the third collaboration of director H Vinoth and actor Ajith. The movie features Malayalam actress Manju Warrier who is sharing the screen space with Ajith for the first time. As per the reports, Thunivu is inspired by a bank robbery that took place in Punjab in 1987.
