Ajith’s Thunivu targets Republic Day release?

There was buzz that Ajith starrer Thunivu is gearing up for pongal release clashing with Vijay starrer Varisu. However, the latest news is Thunivu is expected to be released during Republic Day weekend like initially planned and not for Pongal.

An official announcement on the release date of the film is awaited. Ajith and team of Thunivu are wrapping up the patch work shoot, and the post-production works will commence soon. Directed by H. Vinoth, Thunivu story is based on the true events that have taken place in Punjab decades back.

Produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects and Zee Studios, Thunivu is a bank heist thriller with stellar casting including Samuthirakani, Veera, Ajay, John Kokken, Mahanadhi Shankar, Cibi Chandran, GM Sundar. Manju Warrier is the heroine.
