Al Brown, The Wire star passed away at 83
Al Brown who is famous for his role in The Wire passed away on Friday after a long battle with Alzheimer’s in Las Vegas. The death of the 83-year-old actor was announced by his daughter Jenny on Sunday. She also mentioned that her father was an Air Force vet who served two tours in Vietnam before turning actor in the ‘90s.
Jenny also revealed that her late father loved his fans and was always happy to get a chance to interact with anyone who might’ve recognized him from his show over the years.

Brown’s talent manager Michael also made an official statement regarding the actor’s death and said, “I am sad to let you know that angels came for Al yesterday morning, Friday, January 13, 2023. May his memory be a blessing to his family, his friends, and each of you.”
Brown was famous for playing the role of Col. Stan Valchek in the hit HBO show The Wire from the 2000s. He was a recurring character in all five seasons of the show and he played a major part, especially in the 2nd season.
