Avatar The Way of Water box office collection Day 12: James Cameron’s film inches closer to the 1-billion-dollar mark!

James Cameron’s movie Avatar: The Way of Water was released on December 16 worldwide and the movie is doing great at the box office. The movie has earned around 955.1 million dollars at the global belt and it is inching towards the 1-billion dollar mark. If the movie continues to hold the numbers, then James Cameron’s directorial will hit the 1-billion dollar mark at the end of the year.

The movie is also doing great business at the Indian belt and it has grossed over Rs 271-273 crore so far. The movie earned around Rs 12 crore on its second Monday and around Rs 9-11 crore on Tuesday. If all goes well, then Avatar will be able to beat Avenger: Endgame’s (Rs 373.22 crore) record and become the highest-grossing Hollywood movie in India.

However, due to the fear of coronavirus and other factors, it looks like the movie will have a tough time catching up with the prequel, as the highest-grossing film ever. The predecessor movie Avatar which was released in 2009 grossed 2.97 billion dollars at the global belt.
