Cirkus box office day 1 collection: Ranveer Singh starrer opens at around Rs 7.5 crore

Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pooja Hegde, starrer Cirkus was released yesterday and unlike expectation, the movie opened with bad numbers. According to the reports, the movie, opened at around Rs 7.5 crore and becomes the worst opening movie for Rohit Shetty in 10 years.

The movie opened with low occupancy in the morning and afternoon shows due to Avatar 2 and it did poorly, especially in Mumbai. It was expected that the movie would turn in Rs 5 crore from Mumbai but it could only mint around Rs 3 crore.

Considering, Rohit Shetty’s last movie Sooryavanshi which was released during the pandemic opened at Rs 26.29 crore, things are not looking good for Cirkus. Furthermore, the movie has received a lot of bad reviews from viewers and people are mostly calling Cikus an outdated movie. On the other hand, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water which is currently in its second week now earned in the range of Rs 11.50-Rs 13.50 crore and beat the first-day numbers of Rohit Shetty’s directorial.
