Cirkus box office day 3 collection: Rohit Shetty’s directorial struggling at the box office!

Rohit Shetty’s directorial Cirkus was released on December 23 and it has been struggling at the box office. This movie has become Rohit Shetty’s worst opening movie in the last 10 years. Cirkus opened with Rs 6.25 crore on Friday and earned Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday.

Following that the movie had a slight rise and it minted over Rs 8 crore on Sunday. Combining that the movie earned Rs 20.75 crore nett in the first weekend which is nearly the same as the first-day collection of Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty’s first collaboration movie Simmba( Rs 20.72).

Rohit Shetty’s directorial struggled at the box office due to the competition it faced from the Hollywood film Avatar The Way Of Water which was running in its second weekend. This James Cameron movie beat Cirkus in all the Hindi circuits despite running for the second week. Other than that, Cirkus got a bad box office score due to the negative reviews it got from the viewers.

Coming back to the movie, Cirkus featured Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Siddhartha Jadhav, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Ashwini Kalsekar, Murali Sharma, and Tiku Talsania in important roles. The movie also featured a cameo from Ranveer Singh’s wife, Deepika Padukone, in the song Current Laga Re.
