Complaint filed in Mumbai against Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan have been in the news ever since the release of the song Besharam Rang from the movie. Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra, MP speaker Girish Govind, and MP Ulema Board have expressed their dislike towards the song and now the latest reports say that a complaint has been filed against the movie in Mumbai.

According to the reports, a complaint has been filed against the movie’s director, cast, and producer claiming the “intentional” use of saffron color in “Besharam Rang” is to offend the Hindu religion. The complaint has been filed by an activist at Sakinaka Police station in Mumbai. The activist also alleges that the song promotes vulgarity among the youth and it could result in law and order disruptions in society.

Furthermore, Vineet Jindal, an advocate at Supreme Court, also filed a complaint against the lead actors with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry for “objectional video”. The complaint has been filed to ban the release of the movie till the “correctness of objectionable song”.
Coming back to the movie, Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and it is financed by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Pathaan is part of Aditya Chopra’s spy universe and it features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in key roles. The movie is set to release on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
