Delhi High Court supports Aha’s Unstoppable and stops illegal streaming!
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s chatshow Unstoppable which is currently getting a lot of attention, recently sought legal help to restrain unauthorized dissemination of the original web show. Aha Media which steams the show went to court to restrain rogue websites and broadcasters from streaming the original show without permission.
Following through on that, the Delhi High Court has given a favorable judgment for the show and stopped many rouge websites from illegal streaming. “Piracy of films, web series, and entertainment content has always been a huge menace in the Media and Entertainment industry. Before a film is released in theatres, there are rogue websites and various links which make the movie available to the public at large, which has a significant adverse effect on the commercial performance of the film. The present order passed by the HC in favor of Aha Media prevents infringing links from taking root,” the lawyer related to the case said.
This order came just in time as the episode with Prabhas has just streamed on the OTT platform. The makers are hoping that this big episode will bring good revenue to the platform. Talking more about the show, it has been reported that Aha Media has spent over Rs 17 crore for the production, promotion, and marketing activities of the show, including Balayya’s remuneration.
