Gujarat police to give protection to multiplexes and theatres that release Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan!

Ever since the release of Besharam Rang, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has been the topic of controversy. Several people have asked to ban the movie and even threaten the actor as well as the theatre owners who release the movie. To address these constant threat warnings, Gujarat multiplex association approached the government and asked for protection.

Now, it has been reported that the Gujarat police have decided to give protection to the multiplex officials when Pathaan is released.,“It was a great meeting with the Government officials. They have promised police protection at the cinema halls if required to ensure a smooth release for Pathaan on January 25,” Vandan Shah, the Secretary of Cinema Owner Association, Gujarat, was quoted saying at a media outlet.

For those who don’t know, Vishnu Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have constantly threatened the actor and the theatre owners. Some have even said that they would burn SRK alive and also burn the theatres that release the movie.
