Halloween star George P. Wilbur passed away at 81
Halloween actor and stuntman George P. Wibure passed away this past Wednesday at the age of 81. The actor is survived by his daughter Gena Wilbur. He had a 60-year-long career span and over this period he did a lot of horror roles including Michael Myers in 1988’s Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and 1995’s Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
He started his career as a stand-in-actor for John Wayne throughout the 60s and later he got the opportunity to work on movies like Escape From the Planet of the Apes and The Running Man. He also did stunt work in iconic movies like Die Hard, Total Recall, Casino, and Spider-Man.
Off all the work he had done over the years, his contribution to horror is the one that gave him the most fame. Without his extraordinary work on Halloween, the franchise wouldn’t have been able to grow to this point.
