During the initial phase of her career, the actress was in a relationship with Kollywood actor Silambarasan however, it was reported that after a few months of dating, they parted ways. Later, the actress was in a serious relationship with dance icon Prabhu Deva in 2009 and they even started living together but after 4 years they broke up.

Even though it was now reported that Nayanthara and Vignesh’s marriage was registered 6 years ago, on March 11, 2016, the couple officially got married with proper rituals on June 9, 2022. They had a grand function in Mahabalipuram and stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Suriya, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, and so on attended the function.

Nayanthara and Vignesh announced that they became proud parents of twin boys via surrogacy on October 9. After this announcement many questioned the couple for breaching Indian rules however, it was later confirmed through investigation that they had followed proper guidelines to have the child.
