Kamal Haasan’s cult classic movie ‘Aalavandhan’ to re-release after Rajinikanth’s ‘Baba’

Re-release culture has been a huge part of south cinema now. Several movies from Tamil and Telugu cinema have been released in the last year alone. Recently Superstar Rajinikanth’s movie Baba was also remastered and re-released after 20 years with an alternative ending on the actor’s birthday.

Now, according to the latest updates, Kamal Haasan’s cult classic movie, ‘Aalavandhan’ will also get a grand re-release. The movie producer Kalaippulli S Thanu made this announcement today and according to him, the remastered version of the venture will be re-released on 1000 screens across the globe. He also shared a new poster of the movie today and captioned it, “Soon in the theaters. He is coming to rule your hearts! #Aalavandhan” (sic).

For those who don’t know, Alavandhan is a psychological thriller released in 2001. The movie featured Kamal Haasan in dual roles and it was directed by Suresh Krissna. The movie had Raveena Tandon and Manisha Koirala as the female leads opposite Kamal Haasan and Mahesh Mahadevan gave the background music for this venture.
