Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at SRK starrer; says, ‘Pathaan sirf ek film ho sakti hai … goonjega toh yahan sirf Jai Shri Ram Pathaan’
Kangana Ranaut recently returned to Twitter after a long time and after coming back she started voicing her opinion without any filters once again. She berated the film industry after coming back and today she took a dig at Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan despite praising the movie yesterday.
Yesterday the actress praised the movie for doing great business at the box office but today she changed her tone and even said the correct title for the venture should have been ‘Indian Pathaan’. “All those who are claiming Pathaan is triumph of love over hate, I agree but whose love over whose hate? Let’s be precise, whose is buying tickets and making it a success? Yes it is India’s love and inclusiveness where eighty percent Hindus lives and yet a film called Pathaan..Which shows our enemy nation Pakistan and ISIS in good light is running successfully, it is this spirit of India ???????? beyond hate and judgements that makes it Mahan… it is the love of India that has triumphed hate and petty politics of enemies,” she tweeted while mentioning the movie.

She added, “Lekin all those who are having high hopes please note… Pathaan sirf ek film ho sakti hai … goonjega toh yahan sirf Jai Shri Ram..( Pathaan is just a film, the country will only hear cries of Jai Shri Ram). I do believe Indian Muslims are patriotic and very different from Afghan Pathans … the crux is India will never be Afghanistan, we all know what is happening in Afghanistan,it’s beyond hell there, so apt name for the movie Pathaan according to its storyline is the Indian Pathan.”

Further responding to one particular tweet, the actress even said that Pathaan is a propaganda-spreading movie and that the film industry should condemn such ventures. “I think 2023 has finally given the answer to (the question) – ‘Modi nahin toh kaun (If not Narendra Modi, then who can lead the country)???’ The answer is Pathaan.” Kangana responded to this tweet by saying, “Warning: If film industry doesn’t want to bear the brunt of political propaganda then they should condemn such propaganda using their films. Tum khelo toh game hai hum khelein toh shame hai, aisa nahi chalega bhai… baad mein mat rona hum toh artistes hai, abhi se aukat mein raho (if they play then it is a game, if we play then it is shame. Artistes should stay in their lane now itself and not cry later),” she said.
