KGF star Yash rejects Ayan Mukerji’s offer to play Dev in Brahmastra 2!

After the release of Brahmastra part 1, many are wondering who will be playing the evil protagonist of the series, Dev. Viewers are hoping to see a big name playing the character to match their anticipation and to do just that, Ayan Mukerji is trying his luck with several big stars in the industry. He tried to either cast Hrithik Roshan or Ranveer Singh to play the role, but sadly both actors rejected the offer. Hrithik rejected the role as he had to free schedule while Ranveer simply didn’t want to enter the franchise at all.

After that, the director approached South Superstar, Yash for the role. Both Ayan and Karan met with the actor for two rounds but finally, even the KGF star refused to play the role. According to a source as the actor made quite the name for himself with the KGF franchise, he thought the role wasn’t for him and rejected the offer.

The source also said that the director is now looking into the South industry to cast someone for the role to bring a bigger appeal to this pan-India project. Fans are also hoping to see a fitting actor for the role.

Brahmastra Part One

Coming back to the movie, Brahmastra 2 will be the next chapter in the franchise and it is set to release in 2025. The movie is expected to kickstart by the end of 2023 and a further announcement regarding the cast is expected to come soon.
