Shahid Kapoor gives a discount to Dinesh Vijan to kickstart Kriti-Shahid venture!

Back in August this year, it was reported that Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor would work on a robot movie with romantic comedy elements. The project had the backing of Dinesh Vijan but it was halted due to financial constraints.

Shahid and Kriti’s project is back on track.

Now it has been reported that the movie is back on track as Shahid Kapoor decided to give a hefty discount to Dinesh Vijan. “The film has finally taken off, and will begin soon,” a source close to the development said. The source explained how the financial issue was solved by saying, “The issue came up due to Shahid Kapoor’s fees. The actor had quoted Rs. 30 cr. as his remuneration. However, now he has slashed his price down to Rs. 14 cr. This in itself has considerably lowered the overall budget.”

Shahid and Kriti’s project is back on track.

“Shahid has for now settled with Rs. 14 cr. as his base price remuneration, but the rider is that he will receive a certain percentage of profits if the box office business of the venture crosses a certain threshold amount,” the source clarified.

As the movie is back on track the unique casting of this Amith Joshi’s directorial is now being handled by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and their announcement of further developments is expected to come soon.
