Previously it was reported that the overseas rights of Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu have been bagged by Lyca Productions. The team was in talks for this deal a few days ago and today, November 19, Lyca Productions has confirmed that they have acquired the movie’s overseas rights. The production house announced this news today via their official Twitter handle with a caption saying, “We are extremely delighted 🤩 on bagging the overseas theatrical rights of #THUNIVU 💥 produced by @BoneyKapoor & @ZeeStudios_ It’s always a pleasure 😌 to associate with our dear #AjithKumar 😎.”
For those who don’t know, Lyca Production is also financing Ajith Kumar’s next movie which is tentatively being referred to as AK62.
Coming back to Thunivu, this movie is being presented by Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu and it is clashing with Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Varisu in Pongal, 2023. The movie is directed by H Vinoth and financed by Boney Kapoor. The movie features Manju Warrier as the female lead and John Kokken as the villain.
