Maidaan postponed once again; Ajay Devgn starrer to release on this date now

Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan which was announced a while back has been postponed once again. The movie was announced to hit the theatres on May 12 but now it has been reported this Amit Sharma’s directorial has been delayed yet again.

Confirming the same, a source close to the project said, “Maidaan is a prestigious project and warrants a release date that gives it a clean shot at having long legs at the box office. May 12 is a complex date with a constant flow of releases and hence, the makers are now deciding to release it on June 23, 2023.” Unlike the previous announcement, the makers have promised that this would be the last and final release date of the venture.

“The edit of Maidaan will be locked as per the timelines of May 12, but the issue here is not the delay in content delivery, but not a good release period. After scanning through the calendars, the team is now committed to bringing Maidaan on June 23, 2023,” the source revealed.

Coming back to the movie, Maidaan is a biopic on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim. Backed by Boney Kapoor under Zee Studios, Maidaan is reported to be one of the career-defining movies for Ajay Devgn.
