Makkal Nayagan Ramarajan to join Ilaiyaraja after 23 years!

After taking a long break from acting, Makkal Nayagan Ramarajan is making his comeback in Tamil cinema and he is also reuniting with Ilaiyaraja to bring back the golden combo after 23 years.

Many might not know this but most of the blockbuster hits from Nayagan Ramarajan had music from Ilaiyaraaja. Now the two of them are reuniting again and Nayagam Ramarajan personally went to visit the music composer to ask him to compose the music for his comeback film.

According to the movie’s team, Ilaiyaraja instantly agreed to the actor’s offer to compose the music for his comeback. “After the script of Saamaniyan was completed, he thought, Ramarajan sir would be perfect for the lead role as audiences and film lovers always consider him as the best illustration of ‘Common Man’ on the big screen. Also, this script was worthy enough for him to make his comeback. Filmmaker Gangai Amaren sir has been one of the major reasons for shaping the successful journey of Ramarajan. This meeting between Ramarajan and Ilaiyaraaja happened only because of Gangai Amaren sir, and I thank him for this great gesture,” said director R Rajesh while talking about this collaboration.
