Debutant Malayalam director Manu James passed away on February 24 at the age of 31. According to the reports, the director was admitted to a hospital in Aluva in Ernakulam where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment for hepatitis. The last rites of the director were held on Sunday, February 26 at Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdeacon Church, Kuravilangad.
For those who don’t know Manu James, he was set to make his debut as a director with the movie Nancy Rani starring Ahana Krishnakumar and Arjun Ashokan. He was working on the production of the movie before getting hospitalized. The venture is currently at the end of the post-production stage and it is set to hit the theatres soon.
This movie centers around a fan of Mammootty played by Ahaana, who dreams of becoming an actor. However, her dream gets stripped away by a tragic opportunity. Aside from Arjun Ashokan and Ahaana, the movie also stars Sreenivasan, Lal, Arju Varghese, and Lena in pivotal roles.
