Netflix to make a documentary series on British TV Presenter Jill Dando!
OTT giant Netflix is set to make a documentary series on the life and death of beloved British TV presenter Jill Dando. The series will be a collection of archives, research, and interviews that will show the legacy of the late presenter. According to the reports, the documentary will also talk about her death which remains one of the most notorious unsolved murders of the 20th century.
For those who don’t know, Jill Dando was an English journalist, TV presenter, and newsreader who spent most of her career at the BBC. In April 1999, Jill Dando was found dead outside her home in London. She was shot and to find her killer, the country’s largest criminal investigation since the hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper was conducted by the Metropolitan Police. However, with 2,000 potential suspects identified, her killer was still not caught. A suspect was convicted in this case and was sentenced to eight years but later the said suspect was acquitted after a trial. To this date, Dando’s murderer has not been caught.
