Oscars 2023 shortlist is finalized; RRR, The Last Film Show, and more are running for the Academy Awards!

Leading up to the Oscars 2023, the Academy announced the shortlists in 10 categories yesterday. The categories include documentary, documentary short subject, and international features among others. 92 countries are included in the international features category and RRR and The Last Film Show are representing India in the category.

Other than that, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga are also shortlisted for the Oscars 2023 for the Best Original song race. Tylor Swift for Caroline from Where the Crawdads Sing, Rihanna for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Lift Me Up, and Lady Gaga for Top Gun: Maverick have been included in this category with Naatu Naatu from RRR.

The Last Film Show

RRR which was applied for 14 categories by the makers has also advanced for Oscars 2023 in only one category with Naatu Naatu. The Last Film Show has advanced further than RRR in the International Feature Film Category and it will now compete with South Korea’s Decision to Leave, Pakistan’s Joyland, and more.
