Just a day ago, we have reported that actress Rashmika Mandanna has walked out of the film and we hear Parvathi Thiruvothu of ‘Poo’ and ‘Mariyaan’ fame will be playing the leading lady in the movie, pairing up with Vikram.
Now we hear that Critically-Acclaimed actor Pasupathy has been zeroed in by director Pa Ranjith for a key role in the film. The film marks the second combo of Pasupathy and Ranjith after ‘Sarpatta Paramabarai’. Vikram and Pasupathy earlier shared screen space together for films like ‘Dhool’, ‘Arul’, ‘Majaa’ and ’10 Endrathukkulla’.
Chiyaan61 is backed by Studio Green Production, and the story is based on the real life incidents of mining workers at Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) happened in the 18th century. The current schedule is being shot in Kadapa, and thee film will be released in bilingual versions in Tamil and Telugu.
