Pathaan inching toward Rs 1000cr mark; Shah Rukh Khan starrer beats Bajrangi Bhaijaan!
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan which was released on January 25 has surpassed Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s record and become the fifth highest-grossing Indian film in history. The movie beat Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar and Salman’s Bajrang Bhaijaan with worldwide collections of Rs 946 crore. Currently, the movie is behind, RRR, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF 2 Chapter 2, and Dangal with only Aamir Khan’s movie being from Bollywood.

Also as per Yash Raj Films, Pathaan has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in the history of Indian cinema(original language). As per their announcement, Pathaan has grossed over Rs 946 crore worldwide and grossed around Rs 588 crore from the domestic belt. They also shared that the movie has a gross collection of Rs 358 crore from the overseas belt and Rs 489 crore nett collection at the Indian belt.

Seeing the success of his comeback movie, Shah Rukh Khan said, “It’s an action film that is close to my heart. I think it is made with a lot of goodness by a lot of good people… I think it’s cinematic, which is the call of the day. It’s a film you want to watch on a big screen.”
