Pathaan Review: Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback is strong and a visual delight!

Today January 25, one of the most awaited Hindi movies, Pathaan has been released. The movie has been hyped up for quite some time now as this is the comeback movie of Shah Rukh Khan after 4 years.

Plot

As shown in the trailer, the movie centers around Pathaan who is an agent trying to stop a big terrorist attack from happening. Who is Pathaan and how he will stop the terrorist organization is the main plot of the movie.

What’s good?

SRK Pathaan

From the very start, Pathaan will get you hooked. Though the movie is a bit unrealistic, its action sequences, locations, and cinematography keep the viewers entertained. Shah Rukh Khan’s entry as Pathaan, his looks, his body language, and his grip over the character is remarkable. One can say that SRK’s role as Pathaan will stick with him for the rest of his career.

Salman Khan’s appearance as Tiger in the 2^nd half of the movie is also a major plus of Pathaan. We won’t talk more about his appearance to avoid giving spoilers, but you will surely feel the impact he creates as Tiger in this movie. Deepika on the other hand is increasing the glam element in the movie. Her looks, elegance, and style will make you want to see more of her on the screen. Lastly, John Abraham as the villain is just the perfect casting.

What’s bad?

Pathaan

Taking away the pacy flow of the movie and extravagant action scenes, the movie has a cliché story and predictable twist. Other than that, the VFX at some points is quite lacking as you can even see the green screen being used clearly.

Overall, Pathaan is a great theatre experience for the viewers. SRK’s comeback has not disappointed and director Sidharth Anand has delivered what he had promised with the movie’s trailer.
