Pathaan Row: Shah Rukh Khan gets death threats from Ayodhya-based saint; says, “Will burn him alive”

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has been in trouble ever since the release of ‘Besharam Rang’. Several MP-based right-wing ministers have voiced their displeasure about the song and recently a police complaint has also been filed against its makers in Mumbai. The boycott trend is back and people are trying to ban the movie altogether in MP. Furthermore, some protestors even went on to disrupt the shooting of SRK’s next movie Dunki.

However, the matter has gone way out of hand as now SRK is receiving death threats from an Adodha-based saint. An Ayodhya-based saint Paramhans Acharya has officially said that he would kill the actor if he met him. Burning the actor’s poster, Acharya has said he will burn the actor alive. “People of our Sanatan Dharma are protesting continuously regarding this. Today we have burnt the poster of Shahrukh Khan. If I get to meet the film Jihadi Shah Rukh Khan, I will burn him alive,” he said. To escalate the matters further,  Acharya has threatened the theatre owners to not release the movie or they will burn the theatres down.

For those who don’t know, the whole matter started after Deepika Padukone donned a saffron color bikini in the song. Many protested that doing so has hurt religious sentiments and several others claimed the costume, lyrics, and dance moves are corrupting the youth.

Coming back to the movie, Pathaan is directed by Sidharth Anand and is financed by Aditya Chopra. The movie features SRK, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in key roles and it is set to release on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
