Ponniyin Selvan cast whopping remuneration?

Maniratnam directorial Ponniyin Selvan is made on a massive scale of 500 crores, and here is the latest buzz making rounds on the remuneration of the talented cast of the film.

Reports reveal that Actor Vikram who is playing the role of a Aditha Karikalan in Ponniyin Selvan is said to have charged a whopping remuneration of 12 crores, and he is the highest to be paid for the movie. Actress Aishwarya Rai seems to have been paid 10 Crores for her character Nandini in the movie.

Jayam Ravi is said to have received 8 Crores for the role of Arunmozhivarman while Karthi has charged Rs 5 crore for his role as Vandhiya Thevan. Reports also reveal that Trisha was paid Rs 2 Crores, followed by Prakash Raj and Aishwarya Lekshmi for Rs 1.5 Crores each.

AR Rahman provided the soundtrack for Ponniyin Selvan while Ravi Varman handled the cinematography. The film is all set for a release on September 30.
