Richa Chadha recently made headlines after her Galwan tweet incurred the wrath of several netizens. Akshay Kumar also slammed the actress for her comment by saying, “Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain. ????”

Prakash Raj also got involved in this matter and shared his opinion via his Twitter handle and sided with the actress. He also slammed Akshay for calling out the actress and said Richa is ‘more relevant to our country than you’. “Didn’t expect this from you @akshaykumar… having said that @RichaChadha is more relevant to our country than you sir…” Prakash also supported Richa Chadha and wrote on Twitter, “Yes we stand with you @RichaChadha… we understand what you meant,” he posted while retweeting Akshay’s tweet.

For those who don’t know, Richa is currently getting a lot of hate after she reacted to an army commander’s statement on taking Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) back. She wrote, “Galwan Say Hi” on the post which rubbed many the wrong way. Later she posted a public apology reading, “Even though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part.”

She also talked about her military family background by saying, “My Mamaji was a paratrooper. It’s in my blood. A whole family is affected when a son is martyred or even injured while saving the nation which is made up of people like us and I personally know how it feels. It is an emotive issue for me.”
