Producer confirms that Vin Diesel will NOT be part of the Avatar franchise

Recently reports of Vin Diesel joining James Cameron’s Avatar franchise started circulating through the internet. Refuting such news, the producer of Avatar, Jon Landau has said that the actor won’t be part of the franchise.

This is not the first time these rumors started appearing. Back when Diesel posted a photo with Cameron from the sets of Avatar such claims of him joining the franchise were already a normal occurrence. Later Diesel also expressed his wish to work with Cameron on a media portal by saying, “There is one person in Hollywood I’ve always wanted to work with and learn from, and so, all things come, I guess, to those that wait.” This statement further flamed the rumors of him joining Avatar.

However, Jon Landau has now refuted these rumors by saying, “Vin was a fan. He came in, visited the set one day to see what we were doing and people took that out of context.”

Meanwhile, Diesel is currently looking forward to the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. He also has Fast X under his belt and it has also been reported that he will be the front and center in the 11th and final Fast and Furious movie as well.
