Rajinikanth’s 2002 movie Baba is getting a re-release. Fans are super excited to see the action-drama movie once again and their excitement has increased tenfold as a picture of Rajinikanth dubbing some scenes for the movie has made it to social media.
For those who are unaware, Baba was released on 15th August 2002 and its music was given by AR Rahman. The movie couldn’t do well at the box office at that time and around two decades, later makers have decided to re-edit the drama and digitally enhance the project. AR Rahman has also requested to arrange a special screening of the new edit so that he can upgrade his work as well.
Announcing the re-release of the movie, Rajinikanth’s PR team issued a press release saying, ” The film is now gearing up for a new screening again, with a new look, that has been re-edited from a completely new angle. Not only that, every frame is digitally enhanced with color grading as per this modern technology, (sic). All the songs of the film, which are full of scintillating music by AR Rahman like ‘Maya Maya’, ‘Shakti Kodu’, have been remixed and changed to Dolby Mix sound system.”
