Remo D’Souza and Salman Khan who worked together on Race 3 announced that they will work on an emotional dance-based movie called Dancing Dad back in 2017. The movie was to be made under Salman’s maiden banner and it was set to show the story of how far a father is willing to go to make sure his daughter’s dream of becoming a dancer comes true.
Sadly the movie was later put on the back burner but now it is reported that Remo D’Souza is set to revive the venture with Abhishek Bachchan as the main lead. Confirming the same a source close to the project revealed, “It’s tentatively called Dancing Dad and is all set to go on floors next month. The pre-production work has already begun and the team is excited to shoot this unique dance film with Abhishek and a young kid in lead.”
“While all Remo films have been stories about great dancers, this one is actually about a non-dancer, who learns the craft for his daughter’s dream,” the source added. The source further revealed that the movie will kickstart in March and will be released directly on a leading OTT platform towards the end of this year.
“The deal has been locked, and the platform will be making an official announcement soon,” the source concluded.
