RRR bagged the Golden Globes award for Naatu Naatu in the Best Original Song category!

SS Rajamouli’s directorial movie RRR which received two Golden Globes nominations bagged the award for Naatu Naatu under the Best Original Song category. The song beat other nominees like Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, ‘Ciao Papa’ from Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s ‘Hold My Hand’ from Top Gun: Maverick, and Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and won the award.

The award was presented by Wednesday star Jenna Ortega and singers Taylor Swift and Rihanna and Naatu Naatu composer MM Keeravani received it on stage. The composer thanks his fellow nominees Kala Bhairava and Rahul Silpligung who gave their voices in Naatu Naatu and said that the award belonged to his ‘brother’ SS Rajamouli.

“This award actually belongs to someone else, not me. I’m going to repeat the tradition. The award belongs to my brother and the writer of the movie, SS Rajamouli,” he said while accepting the award.

The official social media handle of the movie shared this win with the fans by posting a photo of the composer with the award. “LEGENDARYYYYYY MM KEERAVAANI!!,” they captioned the post.
