RRR makes it to Oscars with Naatu Naatu! Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s song, shortlisted in the ‘Original song’ category!

The Oscars shortlist has been recently announced, and RRR and The Last Film Show are representing India in the Internation features category. The Last Film Show has been shortlisted in the International Film Category while RRR made it to the Oscars with Naatu Naatu. The Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer song has been shortlisted in the ‘Original song’ category.

The song is now competing with “Time” from Amsterdam, “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” from Avatar: The Way of Water, “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, “This Is A Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once, and others.

For those who don’t know, Naatu Naatu has music from M. M. Keeravaani and it is penned by Chandrabose. The song has been sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava and its choreography has been set to Prem Rakshith.

Coming back to the movie, RRR is directed by SS Rajamouli and it was financed by D. V. V. Danayya banner. The movie featured Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris in other supporting roles. The movie recently won three awards at the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Score/Soundtrack.
