Saif Ali Khan to star in the Hindi version of The Bridge!

Endemol Shine India and Black Knight Films have officially announced that they will be making a Hindi adaptation of the hit Danish/Swedish scripted series, Bron/Broen (The Bridge). Saif Ali Khan will star in the Hindi edition show and he will also jointly finance the venture under the banner of Black Knight Films.

Talking about the same Saif Ali Khan said, “As an actor and producer, this is the one-of-a-kind opportunity that one waits for. It is a story that has been adapted the world over and loved by audiences, irrespective of their geographies, so yes, my team and I at Black Knight Films – Kunjal Punamiya (CEO/co-producer) and Pavan Kriplani (Creative Producer/co-producer) are super excited to be associated with this project and getting it rolling.”

The story of The Bridge starts after a dead body is discovered on a border between two countries. Half of the body lies in one while the other lies in another country. Due to this case, a joint investigation between the two regions is started by forcing the detectives from both sides to cooperate together.

The adaptation of The Bridge has been made in multiple languages set across the international borders of the US/Mexico, UK/France, Germany/Austria, Singapore/Malaysia, and Russia/Estonia.
