Samantha Ruth Prabhu backs out from Varun Dhawan Starrer Citadel due to health issues

Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced that she has been diagnosed with Myositis during the release of Yashoda and ever since then the actress has been less active in media. Now it has been reported that the actress has quit Raj and DK’s upcoming Indian spinoff of Citadel. Even though Samantha’s team previously denied the reports of her walking out of several Bollywood projects for weeks, it was reported that the actress walked away from Citadel.

If reports are to be believed, the actress, walked away from this Varun Dhawan starrer series as she has been advised to remain “completely disappeared from the public for the next three months”. The reports also say that she will only shoot for her upcoming romantic movie Kushi this month. After wrapping up this project, she will resume her other Hindi projects in April. Her team has also confirmed that if all goes well, the actress will resume the shoot of her Hindi projects by May 2023.

Meanwhile, the release date of Samantha’s next project Shaakuntalam with Dev Mohan has been announced today. The movie is set to release on February 17, 2023, worldwide in 3D.
