Samuthirakani starrer Thalaikoothal is set to stream on Netflix on this date,

Samuthirakani starrer Thalaikoothal which was released on February 3 has now got an OTT release date. As per the recent announcement, the movie is set to steam on Netflix from March 3.

Helmed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan, Thalaikoothal featured Samuthirakani, Kathir, and Vasundhara, among other key roles. The movie was financed by Y Not Studios and its cinematography was done by Martin Donraj and editing was done by Dani Charles.

Produced by S Sashikanth, Thalaikoothal centers around Samuthirakani’s character. He takes care of his bed-ridden father and is coerced by the people around him to practice Thalaikoothal which is a traditional practice of senicide (killing of the elderly) by their own family members, observed in some parts of southern districts of Tamil Nadu state of India. Kathir played the role of the younger version of the bedridden father in the movie while Vasundhara played the role of Samuthirakani’s wife.
