Sara Ali Khan approached to play the lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in Aashiqui 3!

Last year it was announced that Vishesh Films and T-Series will make the third installment of the Aashiqui franchise with Kartik Aaryan as the lead. Later Mukesh Bhatt revealed that he is planning to cast a fresh face as the female opposite Kartik in this venture. Now according to the latest reports, the makers have approached Kartik’s ex Sara Ali Khan to play the female lead in Aashiqui 3.

If Sara agrees to star in this venture, then Aashiqui 3 will mark the 2^nd collaboration of the Simmba actress with Kartik Aaryan after Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal in 2020. Also, it has been reported that the makers are searching for another female actor for a second female lead role. According to the speculations the makers are looking for a fresh face for the second female lead as Mukesh Bhatt has previously said that the Aashiqui franchise always promotes new talent.

“We’re looking for a new face and I’m looking into it because that’s my expertise. Vishesh Films have always given new talent a break. Aashiqui is a franchise that always promotes new talent. We have to have a new face. I have met a lot of girls but the script is currently being written. Until the script is not final, casting becomes difficult. But the search process is already on,” Mukesh Bhatt previously said while talking about the casting.
