Selfiee box office collection Day 4: Akshay Kumar’s starrer continues to struggle

Akshay Kumar starrer Selfiee was released on February 24 and it has become a laughing stock at the box office. The movie opened with around Rs 2.60 crore on the first day and could only earn around Rs 10 crore on the first weekend.

After the disastrous first weekend, the movie continues to struggle at the box office. Experiencing a drop on Monday, the movie only collected Rs 1.6 crore yesterday. So far the movie has collected around Rs 11.9 crore and it has become Akshay’s worst box office performer in the last decade excluding the pandemic release, Bellbottom.

According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, Selfiee had a registered occupancy of 9.39%. Selfiee has become Akshay’s fifth flop in a row after last year’s Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu.

Helmed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Driving License and it features Akshay, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushrratt Bharuccha as the lead cast. The movie also has a cameo from Mrunal Thakur.
