Shaakuntalam update; The first single from Samantha’s starrer to be out tomorrow!

The trailer of Samantha starrer Shaakuntalam was released recently and now the makers have announced that they will be dropping the first single from the movie tomorrow January 18. Samantha has claimed that the first single will be the start of the musical journey of Shaakuntalam. It has been reported that the song is titled Mallika and it is composed by Mani Sharma.

Samantha recently announced the release of the first single via her Instagram handle with a caption saying, “Starting off the musical journey of #Shaakuntalam with the First Single ????#Mallika/#Malligaa/#Mallike on Jan 18th ????Music by Melody Brahma #ManiSharma ????.”

Coming back to the movie, Shaakuntalam is directed by Gunasekhar and it features Samantha and Dev Mohan in the lead roles. Aside from the lead cast, the movie also stars Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Prakash Raj, Madhoo, and Ananya Nagalla, in pivotal roles. The movie is based on the play Shaakuntalam written by Kalidas and it is set to release on February 17. Previously, this movie was set to release in November 2022 but as the makers decided to release it in 3D, the release date was postponed.
