Shehzada box office collection day 1: Kartik Aaryan starrer gives single-digit collection on opening day

Kartik Aaryan starrer Shehzada was released yesterday and despite the immense expectation makers had with the movie, it could only give a single-digit collection on the opening day. According to the reports, the movie could only mint Rs 7 crore on the first day and couldn’t beat the record Kartik’s career-best opener, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Considering Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 opened with Rs 14 crore post-pandemic, Shehzada gave average numbers on the first day. As per the reports the movie collected Rs 1.47 crore from PVR, 92 lakhs from INOX, and 53 lakhs from Cinepolis. As a result, the movie minted a total of Rs 2.92 crore from the national chains. Meanwhile, the Hollywood movie Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania which was also released yesterday collected Rs 4.15 crore from the national chains on day 1 and beat Shehzada’s collection.

Helmed by Rohit Dhawan Shehzada is an official Hindi remake of 2020 hit Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramloo. Shehzada marks the debut of Kartik as a producer and it also marks the second collaboration of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor with Kriti Sanon after Luka Chuppi. Aside from Kartik and Kriti, the movie features Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, Sunny Hinduja, and Manisha Koirala in supporting roles.
