Sonu Nigam attacked in Mumbai; Files a complaint against an MLA’s son for the situation!

Sonu Nigam who is a renowned singer in the industry got attacked along with his team while performing at a concert. The singer was performing at a finale of a homegrown festival in Chembur when the son of a Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Phaterpekar misbehaved with the Sonu Nigam’s manager Saira.

According to the reports, the MLA’s son and his nephew wanted to get a picture with Sonu and when they were unable to do so they attacked the stage. As per the witnesses’ narration, Sonu’s bodyguard tried to shield the singer and took the push, and fell off the stairs. After that, the assailant tried to grab Sonu but his friend and singer Rabbani Khan came forward to stop the man. While stopping the man, Rabbani Khan came in between who is the son of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, too got injured by falling seven feet off the stairs and onto the ground below.

Talking about the incident, Sonu Nigam said, “After the concert, I was coming down from the stage when a man Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar held me. Then he pushed Hari & Rabbani who came to save me. Then I fell on the steps. I filed a complaint so that people should think about forcefully taking selfies & causing a scuffle.”

The singer has decided to press charges against the MLA’s son and filed a complaint with the Mumbai police regarding the incident. A case has been registered against the MLA’s son and nephew under sections 323, 341, and 337 of IPC concerning using physical violence, causing harm, and endangering the safety and well-being of others. As per the police, the name of the accused is Swapnil Phaterpekar.
