Through his foundation the actor has helped countless people who are financially challenged with medical help, he has provided further education for the young, and he has contributed to building and maintaining schools for kids who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now the actor has taken another great cause and taken a pledge to help empower women on the eve of Karva Chauth. Sonu Sood has promised to open skill development centers to help women empower themselves. “I wanted to open these centers for a while now. The idea is to provide tools necessary to these women to empower themselves. It is very important, for a country to progress, for the women to be capable of financial independence. Often times, we see families where women are the sole breadwinners; I want to provide them with necessary skill sets to get better jobs and improve their conditions”.

He has promised to open such centers across the country including major regions like UP, Punjab, Bihar, etc. These centers will be providing skills like coding, sewing, etc which will help women to generate income and be self-dependent.
