SS Rajamouli won the Best Director award at NYFCC for RRR!

SS Rajamouli’s directorial RRR does it again. The movie has been making multiple records and gaining a lot of recognition on the International stage and now it has bagged Rajamouli the Best Director Award at the New York Film Critics Circle.

SS Rajamoulu triumphed over the biggest directors in Hollywood like Steven Spielberg, Darron Aronofsky, Sarah Polley, and Gina Prince-Blythewood, and won the award. Expressing their feeling after the win, the RRR team posted a caption on social media saying, “@SSRajamouli wins the prestigious New York Film Critics Circle Award for the Best Director! @NYFCC. Words can’t do justice to describe how happy and proud we are…Our heartfelt thanks to the jury for recognising #RRRMovie.”

Also, RRR has been the only Indian movie to make it to the list of the top 50 films of 2022, released on December 2 by IMDb.
