Suriya 42 makes over Rs 500 crore with pre-release business and beats Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo?

Yesterday we reported that Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo became the movie with the highest pre-release business in Tamil cinema by earning more than Rs 400 so far. Now the latest buzz says that Suriya’s upcoming movie ‘Suirya 42’ takes the top spot of the list as the movie has already earned around Rs 100 crore more than Leo with the pre-release business alone.

If reports are to be believed, Suriya’s Suriya 42 has become the movie with the highest pre-release business in Tamil cinema by earning more than Rs 500 crore. The confirmation and details regarding the same have not been revealed at the moment but as Suriya 42 is a two-part movie, it might be possible that the movie has earned Rs 500 crore with pre-release business alone.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that fifty percent shooting of Suriya 42 has been completed and the makers are planning to hold one of the grandest audio launch events for the venture.

Helmed by Siruthai Siva, Suriya 42 is backed by Studio Green and UV Studios. The movie is being made in 3D and it will release in 10 languages. The movie features Suriya and Disha Patani in the lead roles and it has music from DSP.
