Taapsee Pannu’s take on people calling her arrogant for slamming paparazzi
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has an on-and-off relationship with the paparazzi. As she doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind, Taapsee often gets into a heated argument with the paparazzi and hits the headline.
Previously she made headlines during the promotions of her movie Dobaaraa for the same reason and a few weeks ago a video of the actress slamming paparazzi got viral again. In the video, the actress was getting inside her car while the paparazzi held her car’s door. She was visibly annoyed by this and straight out told the photographers to stop. People started calling her arrogant due to the video and expressing her opinion on the matter, Taapsee said it was an intrusion of her personal space.
“It does bother me because, after a point, I realized that they are doing it knowing they are going to irk me. Why will you hold my car’s door when I have gotten in? This is intruding my private space. Imagine if you are getting into your car and there are people who have held the car door and not letting you shut the door and shoving the camera in your face, will you like it? Any person, regardless of being a girl or boy, would you like it?”, said the actress regarding the incident.
She further addressed the media labeling her as an arrogant person by saying, “ If I’m arrogant to ask for basic human respect of space, then please call me arrogant, but I will not just try to sugar-coat and be this good girl because I’m in front of this camera. I am not that person. You get what you see.”
The actress also said that she will only perform in front of the movie camera and is not an influencer to perform in front of any other camera. “Whatever people know me for is for what I do in front of the movie camera. I’m not an influencer. I am not performing in front of any other camera. I don’t want to, also,” she added.
