Taraka Ratna’s last rites to be held today; Jr NTR and Venkatesh Daggubati reach Film Chamber to pay their respects

After battling for his life for 23 days, Taraka Ratna passed away on Saturday night, February 18 at the age of 39. He was hospitalized at a private hospital in Bengaluru after collapsing from a cardiac arrest on January 27. His mortal remains were brought to his Hyderabad residence yesterday and his last rites will take place today evening.

Several stars like Jr NTR with his wife, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Kalayanram have reached Film Chamber to pay their respects. Nandamuri Balakrishna, his uncle will also be paying homage to Taraka Ratna. Meanwhile, Pinkvilla has reported that Taraka’s wife Alekhya Reddya has fallen ill after his death. According to the reports, she has not eaten for two days which affected her health.

For those who don’t know more about Taraka Ratna, he was the grandson of late actor and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao. He made his acting debut with the movie Okato Number Kurraadu in 2002. He later turned politician and reportedly he was planning to contest in next year’s Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh on a TDP ticket. He is survived by his wife Alekhya and two sons and a daughter.
