Thalapathy Vijay starrer Varisu was released on January 11 and the movie had a successful run at the box office. Despite facing the clash with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu the movie crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide and now it is ready to release on the OTT platform.
Announcing the same today, Prime Video shared a poster of the movie today via their social media handle with a caption saying, “hold tight because the wait is over! here he comes ????#VarisuOnPrime, Feb 22 coming soon in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam!” As said in their caption, Varisu will be available on Prime Video starting from February 22 in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Coming back to the movie, helmed by Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu stars Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha in key roles. The movie was financed under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema and it had music from Taman. The movie was also released in Telugu version with the title Vaarasudu.
