The shooting of Gladiator 2 delayed
Previously it was reported that Ridley Scott’s historical epic drama Gladiator is finally getting a sequel after twenty-three years after its release. The reports said that the makers had started the casting for the sequel and they planned to start the shooting in March.
However, now the latest reports suggest that the shooting schedule has been pushed by two weeks. According to reports, the acclaimed production of Tennessee William’s A Streetcar Named Desire, which stars the lead of Gladiator 2 Paul Mescal, is set to move to the Phoenix Theatre in West End London for a limited six-week run. This development has messed with the previously set schedule of Gladiator 2 by two weeks.
Coming back to the movie, David Scarpa has developed the script of Gladiator 2 and it has been reported that it will show the story of Lucius. Mescal will be playing the lead of this movie as Lucius Versus, the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and nephew of Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus.
