Story :-

After amassing a substantial fortune, Tillu (played by Siddhu Jonnalagadda) ventures into event organizing, retaining his signature attitude and style. It’s during this time that he crosses paths with Lilly (portrayed by Anupama Parameswaran), and he finds himself smitten with her instantly. His relentless pursuit of Lilly only leads him into yet another chaotic situation. The narrative unfolds as Tillu navigates through this predicament, showcasing how he ultimately manages to extricate himself from the mess he finds himself in, serving as the central theme of the story.

Pros are here :-

It sounds like “DJ Tillu” and “Tillu Square” are comedy films that heavily rely on the characterization of the protagonist, Tillu, played by Siddhu. The success of these films seems to stem from Siddhu’s ability to capture the audience’s attention with his comedy timing, one-liners, body language, and expressions. As the writer of the films, Siddhu understands what the audience expects and delivers accordingly.

The chemistry between Siddhu and Anupama Parameswaran, who plays a bold role, adds to the entertainment value of the movies. The supporting cast, including Muralidhar Goud and Prince Cecil, also contribute decent performances to the overall success of the films.

The key challenge for the makers of such films would be to maintain the magic of the protagonist’s characterization while delivering fresh and entertaining content to the audience. However, based on the review provided, it seems like the team behind “DJ Tillu” and “Tillu Square” has succeeded in meeting this challenge.

Cons are here :-

It seems like the sequel to “Tillu Square” picks up right where the first part left off, maintaining continuity in the storyline. However, despite a promising start, the pace slows down in the first hour, with the love track being filled with gags, some of which land well while others fall flat. This results in a bit of lag in the story progression during the first half.

The review suggests that, similar to its predecessor, “Tillu Square” relies more on characterization than on the storyline. While this can be engaging for some viewers, those expecting a strong narrative might be disappointed, especially since certain scenes may evoke a feeling of déjà vu due to similarities with the first part. Additionally, some aspects of the story are criticized for appearing silly, and there are concerns about certain characters receiving less screen time, such as Murali Sharma’s character, and the final twist feeling forced.

Despite these criticisms, it’s evident that the film continues to capitalize on the strengths of its protagonist’s characterization and comedic elements, albeit with some shortcomings in terms of pacing and narrative originality.

Final Word :-

Overall, “Tillu Square” is described as a satisfying sequel to “DJ Tillu,” offering plenty of entertainment value. Siddhu’s portrayal of Tillu continues to be the highlight of the film, captivating audiences with his comedic timing, screen presence, and mannerisms. While the storyline closely mirrors that of the first installment, leading to moments of déjà vu, and the first half may be slightly underwhelming with some less convincing aspects, the majority of the second half delivers non-stop entertainment.

Despite some hiccups along the way, the film’s entertainment factor ensures its momentum. Fans of “DJ Tillu” are likely to enjoy this sequel, as it maintains the spirit and charm of its predecessor. Overall, the recommendation is positive, urging viewers to give it a watch for a dose of laughter

Rating :- 3.5/5
