For those who don’t know, Megan Thee Stallion, a 27-year-old Grammy-winning rapper, testified that she was shot in the feet by the rapper on 12 July 2020 at a party in Hollywood Hills. Megan Thee Stallion whose real name is Megan Pete said that Lanez fired a handgun at the back of her feet and ordered her to dance as she walked away from an SUV. The incident happened after Megan insulted Lanez’s music. Megan testified she needed surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet. Upon hearing from the jury, Megan’s attorney Alex Spiro said, “The jury got it right. I am thankful there is justice for Meg.”
Meanwhile, Lanez’s father Sonstar Peterson began shouting after the jury left the courtroom. “This wicked system stands judged before God almighty!” He shouted. Further pointing to the two prosecutors in the case, Peterson yelled, “You two are evil, wicked people. You know exactly what you did.”
